My watercolor painting "Homespun" was selected for the 2013 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia show in Golden, Colorado.  There were 85 paintings selected from over 680 by juror Skip Lawrence.  This is my fourth time to have a painting in this show, so I will also receive signature status this year.

Will be leaving Sunday June 30th for a two week artist in residency in Rocky Mountain National Park.  I will be giving a Wednesday evening powerpoint program called "Visions of the West" at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (just outside of Estes Park) on July 3rd and July 10th at 7:30 PM.  You can see the announcement on the park's webpage at  http://www.nps.gov/romo/supportyourpark/meet-our-2013-artists-in-residence.htm and an article in the Estes Park News at http://www.estesparknews.com/?s=joy+keown

Our campsite for the family camp-out at Rob Roy.  From West Laramie, take Highway 130 towards Centennial.  Just past the VBar Ranch before you get to Centennial, take Highway 11 south to Albany (11 miles).  At Albany, the pavement ends, but continue on the gravel road past Albany.  You will see a sign that says Rob Roy Reservoir, 9 miles.  Keep on the main gravel road.  You will come to a Y in the road with a sign that tells you Rob Roy is to the right.  You will cross a fill over Douglas Creek, about a quarter of a mile on down the road, following the lakeshore, you will find the campsite on the left.  See you soon:)
